Probably my top hardcore release of 2024. Essential for Japanese hardcore fanatics.
You may remember ?????? 7" single on HG Fact back in the day, and their track on Demented Anthem Hardcore Assemblage comp CD. Sounds like Paintbox on crack, super rambunctious and off the rails, unhinged execution.
You maayyyyy or may not rememeber their CD from the 2010s that dials back that off the rails unhinged feeling and gets a little more rock.
This new CD (I think it could be old recordings now being released? but it does match what they currently sound like live) is picture-perfect traditional Japanese hardcore in the vein of Paintbox, Blowback, Just Be-era Judgement. Catchy and memorable, powerful and intense. Perfect. I cannot stop listening to this.
They made a huge impression on me at Kappunk this year so of course I couldn't come home without a stack of the new CD for all my fellow American dorkos.
