May 2021 New Arrivals
Posted by -Kamikaze Dan on 6/21/2021
It's my birthday! We're in Baltimore partying it up! So no time to write anything unfortunately. I got caught up on mailorder before I left, and all new orders will ship in early June once I get home.

MAY NEW ARRIVALS
We got a ton of Polish punk reissues!
If you like the tuneful yet raw sound of the 80s, you gotta hear the Dzieci Opieki Spolecznej LP, ranks right up there with Dezerter and Moskwa for me. Although to be honest, it's Smierc Kiliniczna collection LP that warms my heart the most, we used to spin their 7"s all the time at my college punk house.
If you like the relentless brutality of the crustcore Poland was known for in the 90s, you gotta hear the Infekcja live on the radio LP. I saw Infekcja was playing live again, this recording settles it, they're still awesome. We also restocked the Homomilitia unreleased LP, basically the most exciting reissue of 2020 for me.
We got a ton of Russian punk reissues!
Okay, not really a ton per se, just big stacks of these 3 ???? LPs. Spellbinding mixture of acoustic and noise, despair and beauty, haunting emotional power. These are HIGHLY recommended.
We got a ton of Hungarian punk reissues!
I actually didn't know very much about Hungarian punk before digging into this stuff. I know there's a lot of discussion about the Leukemia LPs lately, and maybe people know AMD LP, being one of the very few Hungarian punk vinyl releases of the time (1991).
Personally I was most impressed with Marina Revue LP, arguably Hungary's first hardcore band, recording this reissued demo in 1985. This wasn't on my radar at all but I think it's a super engaging and dynamic recording. Although I think in general I have to give the biggest recommendation to all the the Pajtas Daloljunk/Magyar Punk comp LPs. Nothing but gold in this shit, just the sort of punk music I love and adore, raw and tuneful and full of power and attitude.
We got another box with the latest Japanese punk stuff. I know there's some excitement for The Geros LP, with their 77/KBD style refined through several years of 7"s, but personally I am so stoked on the No No No LP. Wild, unhinged, nonstop attack and attitude, fuck, I can't get enough. I know it's pricey but it's worth every penny. I figured with the Zouo reissue on Relapse, there might be some newfound interest in the Zouo live LP on Crust War. And we got a restock of Canary CD, since we blew through those the first time.
We stocked up on some of the recent Drop Dead, Totalitar, and Crow reissues. These names need no introduction. Legends, all 3. Ni Maste Bort LP is one of my favorite records of all time, an absolute flawless banger from start to finish.
We also got a nice spread of other new releases from around the world. I know there was some discussion of Last Agony LP on the Discord, and it's a properly brutal slice of crusty, metal-tinged hardcore....but for me, I'm chuffed to see my guys in Savage follow up their LP with the Savage/Brainpan split 7", and always pleased to see another Sete Star Sept live tape.
And last but not least, we got a nice big box from our friends Specific Records with some of their recent releases by Necronomidol and Haru Nemuri. I was really shocked to hear that a guy from Poikkeus ghost-wrote one of the Necronomidol songs on this record, LOL wow! Very interesting. Well if you are a fan of "weird Japanese shit", and I know a lot of you are, you're already up on this shit. But also, if you are into thoughtful, quality, entertaining music, these records are definitely worth a listen.
For more commentary on this stuff and more, please scope our Instagram page, where we review choice new arrivals as they come. If it sounds cool when we talk about it, it'll sound even cooler when you hear it streaming on the online store, and even cooler still when you buy the record and slap it on your turntable.
