Axe formed between Verona and Milan after previous projects like Lucta, Sogno Libero and Las Palmas. The band was born from a need to address contemporary themes ,such as war, by recreating those atmospheres in a predominantly punk-hardcore style, influenced by crust and black metal.
In a world where political punk is often reduced to an aesthetic, a decontextualized echo of what it truly represented in the ’80s, the goal is to live and play it in a way that feels real and relevant today, as much as possible. Music without politics has no meaning, and political punk shouldn’t and mustn’t turn into a hollow imitation just to keep existing.
