Tokyo Hardcore, ASSAULT. Following the early collection released by Novembre Records, a compilation album featuring two original albums has finally arrived.
While many bands combine hardcore haste with lyricism and drama, ASSAULT still cannot deny its uniqueness even today. The meticulously crafted songs, the guitar ensemble, and the members who united them as a band were masters. As proof of this, the two albums left behind are now coming to light again as a single work.

From the moment I received the offer for this reissue, I was determined to improve the drum sound that had been buried in the original, even just a little, and to avoid remastering that would increase volume to enhance dynamism. Isn't it that the guitar has withdrawn and is going against the will of the string instrument troupe that no longer exists here? You might think so, but please understand that they were actually the ones who were most particular about sound separation and texture.
The classic phrase 'PLAY LOUD!' from old records and CDs we listened to with great enthusiasm To make sure you don't forget that there was a proper reason and persuasiveness, I didn't want to treat it with a simplistic, modern dynamic approach, so please make sure to listen loudly enough to disturb your neighbors and make your hearing impaired!
