Best Mexican punk band of the past few years.
Silly me let this one pass me by since we had already shaken hands on an LP.
Didn't figure they were going to break up LOL.
Thankful someone put this onto my preferred format.
This is such a HUGE step forward from the 7" I released and I seriously believed, based on how GREAT they were when I toured with them in 2023, that the LP would be another HUGE step forward and maybe be the best punk record of 2024. We talked a lot about Italian bands like Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers, Indigesti, Negazione, and this material really leans into that direction as Agravio continued to refine their style and sharpen their sound. Seemed clear to me that if they kept moving forward on the same trajectory, they had the potential to make a really special record, like Illya LP or Column of Heaven LP.
But now they're basically broken up and I guess that LP won't happen in the end?? Was Agravio simply too good to be true???
Put Agravio LP alongside Active Minds/Capitalist Casualties split 7" and Yadokai LP as the best SPHC releases that never were.
