Description:
Active Minds is always pumping out the jams. While their recent records tend to lean more towards a melodic style, this split 12" is just straight-up hardcore punk that is immediately reminiscent of their 90's UK peer group. No surprises, no bullshit, just pure unadulterated political hardcore punk music from two guys that have been doing this sort of thing for most of their lives. Like I said in my description, every record has some "their best song!" type songs, on this one it's "A New King of War" and "Step One".
Ultimo Gobierno as perhaps best known as 'the band on the other side of the split with Ruido de Rabia' but they've been particularly active in the last couple years, with two new LPs, a split 12" with BETOE (cool band), and now this split. They are playing straight-forward brutal hardcore punk, with gruff vocals and an obvious Discharge influence. Good shit.
