I have no idea how to describe this record. I know a few things though - this music is heavy without being metallic, it's unnerving, but undeniably catchy, it's intense with underlying melody. I can think of very few bands to reference in relation to The Coltranes and I think that speaks volumes.
I can say this: this LP has one EP on each side, similar to the band's Seasons of Terror and Bliss/Chris Benoit 12". That said, the material fits together much more seamlessly and listens as much like an album as it does two EPs.
